These offences are covered under various sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita Act such as section 80 (dowry death), section 81 (fraudulent marriage cohabitation), section 82 (remarrying during lifetime of husband or wife and concealment of marriage), section 83 (fraudulent marriage ceremony), section 84 (enticing with criminal intent a married woman), and sections 85 and 86 (cruelty by husband or his relatives) and aim to protect individuals, especially women. We team up with colleagues dealing with criminal law in order to help find a legal way forward.

Transfer Petitions
